Straight answers before you sign
EU companies can sign with Sourcing Allies' Swedish legal entity. The company is Swedish-owned, was founded in Sweden in 2006 and has its European office in Djursholm. It also contracts through entities in the US and China. Your agreement is with a European counterpart you can hold to account, not an unknown company in China. An NDA is signed on every project.
Both. Sourcing Allies sources and manufactures in China and Vietnam, and its network also covers India. Delivery managers work from Ningbo, China. When tariffs or costs make it sensible, part of your production can move from China to Vietnam. Moving complex production takes time, so we plan for tariff changes everywhere rather than assume one country is safe.
A China sourcing agent should check in person, and ours do. Sourcing Allies' bilingual delivery managers visit each factory and audit staff size, machines, working conditions, worker safety, social responsibility, process control and management structure. The first check is always that you are dealing with the actual manufacturer. Supplier paperwork is verified, not taken at face value.
Often you don't. If your current factory can do the job, we'll tell you, and help fix what isn't working: specs, inspections or communication. We recommend moving only when quality, cost or capacity problems can't be solved where you are. If you buy one simple commodity part, you may not need a sourcing agent at all.
Sourcing Allies includes its fee in the unit price instead of charging retainers or hourly fees. That means we earn only when your product ships, and keep earning only if it keeps selling. You get one quote covering parts, assembly, packaging and shipping.
It depends on the part, the tooling and the number of suppliers. We plan backward from your delivery date and build in Chinese New Year and Golden Week, when factories slow or close for weeks. You see the lead time for each stage (quote, samples, production) before you commit.
