Typical materials: CW617N and various other brass grades

Brass, due to its nature as a soft metal, can be molded in various shapes and sizes. It is versatile, durable, and long-lasting. It is resistant to corrosion and can withstand extreme temperatures. CW617N has excellent hot forming properties and very high machinability.

CW617N grade brass is used for valves because of its:

• Resistance to corrosion
• Excellent high forming properties
• High machinability rating
• Suitability to brazing and soldering

Material composition:

• 58% copper
• 2% lead additive
• 0.3% maximum iron
• 0.7% maximum impurities
•  Remaining zinc

Hot-working temperature range: 650-775°C (1202-1427°F) 

Tensile strength: 380 MPa (55 ksi)

Common MOQ: 100 to 10,000 pcs

The minimum order quantity for common or standardized parts is generally higher. Even though MOQs may be negotiated, buyers are advised to be reasonable about the numbers.

Manufacturing methods: Hot forged and CNC machining

• Components are first shaped using the hot forging process. This process improves ductility, mechanical characteristics, and surface appearance.
• CNC machining further reshapes the components according to the original design and specification of the client.
• The manufacturer ensures precision with the components and takes special care for the intricate parts.
