Importers from North America and Europe use our exhaustive sourcing service to find reliable Chinese manufacturers of stainless steel valves. Brass components may cost you less, but they’re also not as durable and long-lasting as stainless steel. Get your products customized to your specifications without compromising on quality.

Typical materials: SS316, SS316L, and other grades of steel

Stainless steel grade 316 and 316L are typically used to manufacture the valves. 316 is a popular stainless steel alloy, while 316L is the low carbon version of the 316. There are no significant differences between SS316 and SS316L. However, due to its low carbon content, SS316L is even more corrosion resistant than SS316.

  • It contains molybdenum, a metal that makes it highly resistant to most corrosive media. Valves made from SS316  and SS316L offer better corrosion resistance over lower grades.
  • It is tough and can withstand high impact. It is used to make stainless steel baskets, marine parts, chemical equipment, surgical instruments, and outdoor electrical enclosures.
  • It has a longer service life than lower grades of stainless steel.

Material composition:

  • 16% chromium
  • 10% nickel
  • 2% molybdenum

Maximum use temperature: Around 800˚C (1,472˚F)

Tensile strength: 579 MPa (84 ksi)

Common MOQ: 5,000 to 10,000 pcs

Generally, standardized or common parts have higher MOQs. MOQs are negotiable, yet buyers are advised to be reasonable about the numbers.

Manufacturing methods: Cast, machined, and forged

  • Once the component is produced, it is machined to meet the client’s exact specifications
  • Precise components and intricate parts
  • Accurate and smooth surfaces

Manufacturing cluster area: Ningbo and Shanghai

Ningbo is an important industrial city in the Zhejiang province of China. The major industries in Ningbo are textiles, garments, home electric appliances, stationery, plastic machines, auto parts, and high-end mold sectors.

Ningbo houses over 3,000 home electrical appliance manufacturers and 10,000 factories that produce electrical appliances parts. The city is one of the major producers of home electric appliances in China. Nearly half of all the plastic machines in the world are produced in this city. Hence, it has been aptly nicknamed the ‘Home of Plastic Machine.’

Shanghai is the commercial capital of mainland China. It is well known for its finance, trade, and shipping industries, including the world’s largest port by cargo outturn.

Manufacturing is another key industry in Shanghai. Other important industries are electronic information products, automobiles, petrochemicals, fine steel, equipment, and bio-medicine.

Application: Food and beverage industry, plumbing and hydraulics

Stainless steel valves are typically used in industries that use corrosive material, such as pharmaceuticals, oils, liquid metal, and radiating media.

Petroleum refining industries mainly use stainless steel valves as crude petroleum contains many corrosive materials. Its high resistance to corrosion makes stainless steel the most preferred material for this industry.

Breweries also use stainless steel valves due to their ability to withstand high heat.

Common issues: Dimensional control

The components go through many quality checks to ensure that your order meets your quality expectations. This includes ensuring that the components are made to your exact specifications.

Quality Control

  • CMM inspection to test the accuracy of the manufactured components
  • Assess jigs and fixtures to replicate manufactured products with consistent quality
