Industrial equipment manufacturing in China, for BOMs too big for one supplier
For operations and engineering leads building street lights, enclosures, fixtures and custom metal and plastic assemblies. Your BOM spans five or six processes. We vet a supplier for each one, then assemble, inspect and ship the finished unit from China or Vietnam, so the parts fit on the line and one partner answers for the result. Six processes, one assembly line
A street light or a rugged enclosure isn't one part. It's castings, stampings, extrusions, mouldings, electronics and finishes from different factories, and they all have to fit together on one line. Factories in China can make every one of those parts. What usually goes wrong is the handover between suppliers, where no one owns the result. A good casting that doesn't fit the bracket is still a bad part.
- 01
When we're the right fit
Your BOM spans several processes and suppliers, and a tolerance missed in one shop can stop assembly in another.
- 02
When we're not
If you need one simple commodity part, buy it direct. Hiring us would add cost and nothing else, and we'll tell you so.
Each part checked where it's made, so it fits where it's assembled
Die casting & forging
Housings and enclosure bodies that seal. We check draft, wall thickness and sealing faces before the mould is cut, so you don't pay for new tooling.
Metal stamping & fabrication
Brackets, arm clamps and panels that line up with the housing's holes, in steel, stainless or aluminium.
Aluminium extrusion
Pole sections and heat-sink profiles delivered cut, drilled and ready to bolt on, not left for your line to finish.
Plastic injection moulding
Lenses, diffusers and lids in the UV-stable grade your spec calls for, so they don't yellow or crack outdoors.
Weatherproof finishes
Coating thickness, colour and salt-exposure requirements stay on the drawing and get checked at inspection. They aren't left to the paint shop to decide.
Electronics, assembly & test
Drivers, controllers and harnesses sourced and fitted, gaskets seated, and every unit tested to your spec before packing.
Built by specialists in China. Shipped to you.

From BOM to delivered units in five steps
Each step ends with a go/no-go decision, so you never find out months in that a project won't work. We plan the schedule backward from your launch date and allow for Chinese New Year and Golden Week.
A drawing can look finished and still not be ready to manufacture. We check your CAD and BOM for manufacturability, tolerances, material substitutes and finish callouts before any money goes into tooling.
We find and vet a supplier for each component and confirm it's the actual manufacturer, not a trading company. Then we consolidate the quotes.
Moulds, dies and extrusion profiles are made, and you sign off first articles against your critical dimensions.
We set up the line with in-process and final inspection, so defects get caught before goods leave the factory.
Packaging designed for long, heavy and coated parts, plus customs documents and delivery worldwide. A well-finished pole can still arrive scratched if it's shipped like a commodity.
You know who makes each part and who answers for it
- 01
People on the factory floor
Our bilingual delivery managers in Ningbo visit factories in person. They turn your spec into what the factory owner actually prioritises, and they report what's happening on the line.
- 02
Audited suppliers
Our factory audits cover staff size, machines, working conditions, worker safety, social responsibility, process control and management structure. We also check that supplier certificates are current and genuine.
- 03
A contract with recourse
You contract through our legal entities in Sweden, the US or China, and we sign an NDA on every project.
- 04
China, Vietnam or both
Our network covers China, Vietnam and India. We split production where it reduces tariff and supply risk, and we tell you when moving isn't worth it.
72 suppliers, one point of contact
148 components from 72 suppliers in 6 countries. We built a full assembly line from scratch and delivered on time, and the client dealt with one point of contact.
Pilates reformer line: frames, machined rails, springs, wheels and upholstery sourced; jig-based assembly with in-process QC; freight worldwide.
Cooling systems: you get thermal, electronic and housing parts from separate suppliers without managing any of them. Pressure and performance testing and certification support are included.
Street lights: [X] components from [Y] suppliers, assembled, checked and shipped as [Z] finished units. One partner held the schedule from first sample to container.

What buyers ask before sending us a BOM
Yes. Sourcing Allies manages street-light manufacturing in China and Vietnam. That covers the die-cast housing, extruded heat sink or pole sections, stamped brackets, moulded lenses, LED drivers and weatherproof finish. We source each part from vetted suppliers, assemble and inspect the finished luminaire, then handle packaging, customs documents and delivery. You deal with one partner, not a manufacturer for each process.
Yes. We manufacture custom enclosures in metal and plastic: die-cast or fabricated bodies, stamped panels, moulded lids, gaskets and hardware. We check your drawings for sealing faces, tolerances and finish requirements before tooling, approve first articles against critical dimensions, and inspect during and after assembly.
Usually not. If you need one simple or commodity part, buying direct from a qualified supplier costs less, and we'll tell you that. A sourcing partner pays for itself when a product needs several processes and suppliers to land in one assembly, as most street lights, enclosures and fixtures do.
Yes. We review your CAD and BOM for manufacturability, flag material substitutes and tolerance limits, and produce tooling and samples for sign-off. Then we manage production and quality control to your specification. Processes include die casting and forging, metal stamping and fabrication, aluminium extrusion and plastic injection moulding.
Yes. We build to your finish and durability requirements, such as powder coating, anodising or galvanising, and plan any testing and certification your target markets need from the start of the project. Tell us where the product will be sold and we'll confirm the scope before quoting.
It depends on the parts and your tariff exposure. Our manufacturing network covers China, Vietnam and India. Moving complex production can take about a year, and many Vietnamese suppliers still use Chinese-made inputs. We often keep the complex parts where the supply chain is strongest and move the parts that can move.
We size volume per project, based on your tooling cost and rollout plan. Die-casting moulds, stamping dies and injection moulds are the big fixed costs, so the question is how many units spread them sensibly. A street-lighting rollout or an enclosure programme usually runs well above a consumer batch. For a new fixture, we can start with a smaller validation run, and each stage ends with a go/no-go decision.
We sign an NDA on every project, and you contract through our legal entities in Sweden, the US or China, so you have legal recourse in a Western jurisdiction. Drawings go only to the suppliers that need them for their part.
What goes into a industrial equipment
Bring the BOM. We'll show you who can make each part.
Whether you have a full set of drawings or are already in production and fixing a supplier problem, start with a meeting. We'll go through your parts, processes and timeline, and tell you honestly whether you need us.
A drawing, a sketch or a paragraph is enough to start.
